Manifesto dell’Abitare 2024
News

“Curious and fascinated by innovation and the future, we want to measure living spaces not only in square meters, but in the quality of relationships.”
The Manifesto of Living was initially created as a paper in 2021 by a multidisciplinary team from Strategy Innovation, a company that collaborates closely with academia through research projects promoted by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice to foster a widespread culture of strategic innovation.
In 2022, with the collaboration of Blend In – It’s time for good business, a boutique communication consultancy focused on sustainability strategies, the Manifesto transformed into a full-fledged project. It brought together a community of architects, companies, and universities with the purpose of revolutionizing the philosophy and practice of living spaces, integrating diverse skills into each project’s realization.
A scientific committee guarantees the quality of content, connecting universities with industry professionals; an architecture think tank leads conversations and projects; and an advisory board, composed of professionals with cross-disciplinary and complementary skills, serves as ambassadors.
“Etymologically, ‘to dwell’ means ‘to continue to have’,” the question we pose to our community is thus: “How can we continue to have a future on this planet, which is everyone’s home?”
Talks, events, workshops, exhibitions, and publications: the Manifesto takes on all these forms and remains open to collaborations to spread the vision of conscious living, both environmentally and socially, and to connect professionals who truly believe their contributions can make a difference.
From 2022 to today, the Manifesto has hosted two architectural collectives, 26 talks, 12 networking events, 4 workshops, and 2 forums.
Censeo Group decided to support the project from its launch, which coincided with the editorial initiative “Interni Milanesi,” organized by Platform architecture and design in May 2022.
Since then, Censeo Group has actively participated in all scheduled events, particularly supporting:
- The first edition of the Manifesto’s Architecture Collective, held in Venice at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia during the Fuoribiennale in July 2023, with 24 architecture firms addressing the most “social” aspects of design;
- The Strategy Innovation Forum “Living the Future,” also in Venice at the Santa Margherita Auditorium in September 2023, with over 50 speakers from institutional, academic, and business circles discussing the meaning of Living and its future impact on people, society, and the Planet;
- The second edition of the Manifesto’s Architecture Collective, hosted in a dedicated lounge at the MIA Photo Fair in Milan in May 2024, featuring 18 architecture firms presenting projects focused on the theme of water conservation and sustainable use;
- The event “Habitat of the Common Home” as the moral opening of Fuorisalone 2024, a moment of reflection organized with the Church of Carmine, spotlighting the Common Home (the planet, the city, the neighborhood, the parish, the family, etc.) as a place to build, weave, and nurture quality relationships.
