ASICS Onitsuka Tiger

At the end of December 2020, the first Italian Onitsuka Tiger flagship store was launched in Milan in Piazza XXV Aprile.

The Gruppo Censeo first took care of the demolition of the pre-existing buildings and subsequently of the restructuring of the internal spaces with the fitting of new plumbing, heating and air exchange systems, along with the installation of a sophisticated video surveillance system. The work was carried out with precision and accuracy, with particular focus on the safety and sanitation provisions in the construction site, so as to deal with the Covid-19 epidemic and allow the work to run smoothly.

The store has been designed as if it were a theatre consisting of three main rooms, each dedicated to a concept: the first space is the “Laboratory”, an environment which experiments with shades of grey with simple furnishings and a strong industrial feel, the second is the “Japanese Black Lacquer Box” in homage to Japanese craftsmanship. The last room is the
“Gallery”: a space featuring the iconic yellow Tai-chi
